First time author Eric Shields is a Blair County native and currently calls Altoona, PA home. He is a fan of local history and of those who have helped to create it by using their knowledge and skills in their respective areas of expertise. Eric is also a part-time community theatre actor with Off Pitt Street Theatre in Bedford, PA and The Claysburg Community Theatre in Claysburg, PA. He has also appeared in the Altoona shot short film No Game Like Foxes (2020), the award winning Pittsburgh shot Mulligan (2018) and music video Blinds featuring Matt Otis and the Sound.
